25th Nove Colli Running
Cesenatico, May 9–10: The Nove Colli Running is a 202 km race defined by endurance, sacrifice, and immense satisfaction. This is how participants describe this now-traditional sporting event, which will celebrate its 25th edition with the start and finish lines both located in Cesenatico.
The route follows the same path as the historic and world-renowned "Nove Colli" cycling race, but this time the 202 km will be tackled on foot—making it a truly heroic feat! Participants will meet at 10:00 AM at the Maritime Museum (Museo della Marineria) for the technical briefing and a welcome from the Mayor, with the official start scheduled for 12:00 PM.
Over one hundred athletes are expected at the starting line, aiming for three different finish tiers:
- 1st Finish Line: "La Montagna" (The Mountain) – 84 km at the summit of Barbotto (the 4th hill).
- 2nd Finish Line: "La Roccia" (The Rock) – 160.9 km, marking the iconic 100-mile milestone.
- 3rd Finish Line: "Uomo/Donna d’acciaio" (Man/Woman of Steel) – the ultimate goal reached only after completing the full 202 km, with the grand arrival at the Cesenatico seafront at Spiaggia delle Tamerici.
