The Floating Nativity Scene and more: discover the wonders of Christmas in Cesenatico.

Cesenatico: A Seaside Christmas Village (November 30 - January 11). The Christmas atmosphere will officially light up on Sunday, November 30, at 5:00 PM, with the inauguration of the famous Marineria Nativity Scene (Presepe della Marineria), a symbolic event for Cesenatico's Christmas holidays. In the water basin in front of the Maritime Museum (Museo della Marineria) and the Church of San Giacomo, an exciting show conceived by Cardinali Group will come to life: light displays, aerial sets, and engaging music will frame the most awaited moment—the lighting of the floating nativity scene.

From that day forward, the city will transform into a true Christmas village, where every corner will be an opportunity to smile, be amazed, and share family moments.

Ice Skating and Traditional Nativity

Starting November 29, Largo San Giacomo, behind the Church of San Giacomo, will host the ice skating rink, where adults and children can have fun with music and laughter until January 6. It is one of the most beloved spots during Christmas in Cesenatico, a perfect meeting place for those who want to experience the magic of the holidays with a touch of joy and lightheartedness.

From December 7 to January 11, Piazza delle Conserve will be adorned with spirituality and warmth thanks to the Traditional Nativity Scene (Presepe della Tradizione). Among the ancient conserve (conical ice wells once used to preserve food covered in ice), visitors can admire the Nativity within the house enclosing the covered Conserva, taking them back to the origins of Christmas.

Santa’s House and December Events

December 7 will be entirely dedicated to the little ones. In the afternoon, starting at 3:30 PM, Piazza Ciceruacchio will transform into Santa Claus’s House (Casa di Babbo Natale). At the center of the square, a majestic giant music box bed dominates the scene, surrounded by the most beloved emblems of the Christmas atmosphere: gift packages, sparkling toys, soft lights, and festive details that envelop every visitor in a feeling of celebration and warmth. Making the atmosphere even more vivid, Santa Claus himself greets adults and children with his unmistakable smile, accompanied by his trusty Elf, always ready to deliver moments of joy and wonder.

Also on December 7, at 4:00 PM, the Teatro Comunale (Municipal Theater) will host an unmissable event for the whole family: Sister Act – The Divine Musical (Sister Act – Il musical… divino) by the La Ragnatela theater company. A brilliant story, full of rhythm and spirituality, capable of uniting joy and gospel music.

The following day, December 8, Christmas will move to the Porto Canale with the Elves of Wishes (Folletti dei Desideri), a roving street performance featuring stilt-walkers, clowning, and a friendly elf on a bicycle who will bring cheer along the docks, giving smiles to children and parents.
